# Your first five questions

Start with small read-only requests and check that your connection works.

## Verify the system first

Enable the connection in your AI chat. Ask: **“Check my connection. Name the weclapp system, whether it is Live or Demo, and the user you act as. Do not change anything.”**

Check the answer, especially if you use several systems. Your access profile or missing user-read permissions may block the identity check. Do not let the assistant guess the user or Live/Demo assignment. A permitted small read can still verify the connection. Resolve any system or identity uncertainty before a write. If the assistant cannot call any tools, a general explanation is not proof of a working connection.

## Choose one question

Copy a question that fits your work and permitted data areas:

1. “Show five recently created customers with customer number and company name. Only read.”
2. “Show five recent sales orders with order number, date and status. Do not change anything.”
3. “Which five sales invoices most recently became due and remain unpaid? Show invoice number and due date. Only read.”
4. “Show five open tickets with ticket number, subject and status. Do not change anything.”
5. “Find five articles and show article number and name. Only read.”

## How to recognize success

The assistant performs an actual query and identifies records you can check, or explains an empty result. Missing records may reflect your search, permissions or an empty Demo system. Do not ask it to invent results or create test records.

Check a result in weclapp if needed. Return to [Setup](https://ai.wals.pro/setup?lang=en) to view progress. A successful first read counts; copying a URL alone does not.
