Check your account and available setup path
Open ChatGPT in a web browser. Custom MCP app setup depends on your ChatGPT plan, role and available features. Your wals.pro AI plan does not unlock features in ChatGPT.
Sign in to wals.pro AI, open Connections, select ChatGPT and the correct Live or Demo system. Use the MCP URL shown there. Your weclapp API token does not belong in ChatGPT.
Personal ChatGPT account
If your account offers Developer mode and custom app creation, enable the mode in settings. Create the app with the selected MCP URL and OAuth, then complete your wals.pro AI sign-in.
If the option is missing, check the current OpenAI guide. Custom app and write support varies by account. Seeing a toggle does not guarantee the full feature set.
Business, Enterprise or Edu
Your administrator enables the available developer access, creates and checks the app, then publishes it for the workspace. Setup includes the MCP URL, OAuth and a tool scan. You then sign in with your own wals.pro AI account. Making an app available does not automatically connect your account.
If you cannot see admin settings, ask your workspace administrator for the app. Do not create another app in parallel. The OpenAI admin guide explains access controls and tool-list updates.
First use and later changes
Start a chat, select the app and ask: “Check my weclapp connection and show the connected system. Do not change anything.” Then try the first questions.
If tools are missing after an update, your administrator may need to refresh the approved tool list. Check troubleshooting first.
Skills provide additional instructions. Importing them replaces neither OAuth sign-in nor your organization's approval of an MCP app.
