What you need
For the shared connection, you need administrator access to your wals.pro AI workspace, the address of the intended weclapp system and an API token from that same system. Invited members should ask their administrator to prepare the shared connection.
An API token uses its weclapp user's permissions. A working token does not automatically grant access to every record or action.
Create a token in weclapp
- Sign in to the correct weclapp system as the user intended for this connection.
- Open My settings → API tokens in weclapp and create a token for the connection.
- If that section or required permissions are missing, contact your weclapp administrator.
- Copy the token directly into the dedicated field in wals.pro AI Setup. Never share it in chat or screenshots.

Verify and save the connection
- Sign in and open Setup.
- Choose Live or the optional Demo/Test system. A Demo label does not turn production weclapp into a sandbox: use a separate test system with its own credentials.
- Enter its weclapp address and token. Follow the hints for cloud or self-hosted installations.
- Verify and save the connection. This check does not change business records. Wait for the success message.
The saved token is not displayed again. After signing in, Connections provides the MCP address for your AI client. Your weclapp address and your MCP address are different addresses.
Personal keys and changing systems
Whether a personal key is allowed or required depends on your plan and workspace configuration. Sign in, open your account, then My ERP keys. Select the correct workspace, save your own token and test the connection. If you received a personal-key-required message, reconnect your AI client afterwards. A required personal key has no fallback to the shared key. If personal keys are disabled in the workspace, a stored personal key is not used. Never copy someone else's key.
If you change a connection's target system, sign the affected AI client in again. Never switch to Live just to work around an error. Continue with Claude or ChatGPT.
